Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how the Prompts Desk Chrome Extension ("the Extension") collects, uses, and stores data. We are committed to being transparent about our data practices and to collecting only what is strictly necessary to provide the service.

1. What Data the Extension Collects

Data you actively provide:

• ·Email address and password used only to authenticate you with your Prompts Desk account. Your password is never stored locally on your device.
• ·Prompt data the title and content of prompts you create, and the workspace they belong to.

Data we do NOT collect:

• ·Your full browsing history
• ·The text content of web pages you visit
• ·Cookies, form data, or passwords on any website
• ·Any data from pages where you do not actively create a prompt
• ·Personal information beyond what you voluntarily provide when saving a prompt

2. How Your Data Is Used

Data collected by the Extension is used exclusively to:

• ·Authenticate you with your Prompts Desk account
• ·Save your prompts to your personal account
• ·Display your prompts in the popup by workspace and tab
• ·Generate and manage shareable links for prompts you choose to share
• ·Deliver notifications when teammates share prompts with you

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, marketing, or any purpose other than providing the Prompts Desk service to you.

3. Data Storage

Local storage (on your device):

The Extension stores the following in Chrome's chrome.storage.local API:

• ·Authentication token (JWT) so you stay signed in between sessions
• ·Active workspace ID the workspace you last selected so it persists on next open
• ·Theme preference light or dark mode setting

No other data is stored locally. This local data is never transmitted to any third party.

Remote storage (your account):

Your prompts, workspaces, and account details are stored on the Prompts Desk server associated with your account. You have full control over this data through the web app.

4. Data Sharing Policy

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data with any third parties. Data is transmitted only between:

• ·Your browser (the Extension) and the Prompts Desk API server, over HTTPS

We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking services within the Extension.

5. User Rights

You have the right to:

• ·Access all data associated with your account through the Prompts Desk web app
• ·Delete any prompt, workspace, or shared link at any time through the popup or web app
• ·Sign out of the Extension at any time, which clears your authentication token from local storage
• ·Delete your account entirely, which removes all stored data from our servers

6. Security

All data transmitted between the Extension and the Prompts Desk API is sent over HTTPS. Authentication uses industry-standard JWT (JSON Web Tokens) with automatic token refresh and server-side token revocation on logout meaning signing out immediately invalidates your session on the server, not just locally.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the version number in the Chrome Web Store listing and post the updated policy. Continued use of the Extension after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
